Youth will become advocates for tobacco policies, participate in prevention activities, and carry out activities associated with educational awareness media campaigns. The Great American Smokeout (GASO) is taking place this year on November 20th, 2025. GASO is more than just a day—it’s an opportunity. Every year, on the third Thursday in November, people across the country commit to quitting tobacco, proving that change is possible. Quitting is tough, but this day is a reminder that you don’t have to do it alone, and every step toward being tobacco-free is a step toward a stronger, healthier you. Check out the Digital Backpack that Tobacco Free for a Healthy New Jersey created!
